Memorial Day Weekend

This last weekend, which was Memorial Day weekend, we were able to have Robynn, Levi's sister, and her baby James come up to Logan and stay with us for the weekend. We hadn't seen them in quite awhile so it was really good to see them again. It was kind of a cruddy weekend, really rainy, but we were still able to go outside a little bit. We took them up to first dam and James loved the ducks. They live down in Cedar City and I guess there aren't a lot of ducks down there so James had never really seen ducks before. We also took them to Gossner's cheese factory for the ever famous squeeky cheese and black licorice ice cream, which of course they loved. We spent the rest of the weekend just catching up and hanging out. James is so incredibly cute, he has so much energy, though. He's just go go go all day long, so it was probably nice for Robynn to get a little bit of a break to relax while we helped her with James. We spent to whole weekend trying to convince her to move up here to Logan, we're still hoping that she will sometime.

Here's a picture of James, he is so so cute.

Here's a picture of Robynn and her little pregnant belly. She is about 4 and a half months along and she is going to be having another cute little boy.

Then on Monday after Robynn and James left my family came up to go on a bike ride. It was pouring rain when they came up here, but we all wanted to still do it. So, we all bundled up to the point of looking ridiculous and went for a bike ride. We went on a 35 mile bike to prepare for the century that me, my mom, and heidi are doing next week. The bike ride ended up being really nice, it stopped raining and was the perfect temperature for it. Other than a really sore butt the next day it was really fun. After we were done with our ride we all went to Firehouse for some pizza. It hit the spot after a big long bike ride.
See how ridiculous we look!

Internship

Levi is going into family finance. He just recently ran into this great opportunity for an internship which on the plus side is also paid. He's doing it through a company called the McPartland Group and it has potential to turn into a career after he's done with the internship part and once he graduates. He's really excited about it. It should be a great opportunity for him to get into his field and start doing the things that he will do once he's graduated. For the internship they do a week of training to get them prepared to start the internship. Unfortunately the training is in the main office in Salt Lake. He started the training on Monday and has been down in Salt Lake staying at his parents house. It kind of stinks, I'm way lonely up in logan. He'll be home tomorrow though and I'm way excited for him to come back. Other than him leaving for a week this internship has been a great opportunity for him and we're really excited for him to get started with it.

Our Trip to California and Mexico

A couple of weeks ago me and levi and heidi and derek packed our things and headed to California for a week. We left as soon as we we done with our finals. It was so much fun and definitely needed after finishing school for the year. So, we got in the car and drove to Las Vegas where we spend the night on the strip. We then drove to LA and spent a day there before getting on our cruise ship. In LA we went to the Aquarium of the Pacific which was very cool. We got to feed birds, touch sting rays, and a whole lot more.
The cruise we got on stopped in a few places. It stopped first in San Diego where we mostly spent the day doing some shopping and walking by the ocean. It was kind of disappointing because San Diego was very overcast and cold. The ship then stopped at Catalina Island which is a small island in California. In Catalina we rented pedal boats and pedaled in the bay. It was interesting because everyone in Catalina drives little golf carts around instead of cars, it was kind of funny looking. We then stopped in Ensanada, Mexico which Levi loved because it was all about bartering there. There wasn't alot to do there other than shop, it was just kind of a dirty place. There were lots of little kids that would come beg for our money. It was kind of sad.
Our trip was alot of fun. It's nice to be home and getting back into regular life though.

Hello Everyone!

So, we're finally starting a blog. I'm new to this but Heidi convinced me I had to start one so we'll see how good I am at this.
